New cases dropped again from 334 to 316 based on the 7-day moving average. Meanwhile, deaths ROSE again from an average of 4 per day to an average of 5 per day as total deaths for the week totaled 34.

Even with 12-15-year-olds now eligible for the vaccine the average number of doses administered still dropped from 18,716 per day to 13,140 per day, a drop of more than 25%. The available doses for injection now stand at 529,602. enough doses that at the current rate it will take 39 days before we utilize all the available doses. The number of new cases in the U.S. dropped by 70,000 to a total of 219,915 new cases for the past week. That small increase was enough for the country to exceed 10% of all persons in the United States having been infected with the virus. The death count for the week dropped to just over 4,000 new deaths. The number of new cases in India, dropped by more than 1,000,000 to just over 2 million from just over 3 million. That's still a tough situation for the second most populous nation on earth behind China and number three the United States. A full lockdown may be needed to bring the count down to a manageable number.

The case count in Thailand increased from 13,524 to 16,021. Viet Nam and Taiwan were also up, but the increase in Taiwan was minimal.

Brazil was also better as new cases dropped by 60,000 to a still elevated 401,000.
