April 19, 2011 - University of Utah Mechanical Engineering - Design Day 2011
Michael and his team presented their "Senior Project" at Design Day 2011 help at the University of Utah's Olpin Student Union Ballroom.  They were  awarded a grade of A+- from the professor grading the senior projects. The team's project was titled "Ballistic Launcher".  It provided a gun that shoot plastic balls with a video sight to automatically track a moving car and shoot it.  Michael indicated they chose this project because it would allow those who came to see the projects to interact with the gun in manual mode. In that mode the gun would load and shoot under the control of a wireless Xbox Controller connected to Mike's computer.  Mike wrote the code which his Dad judged to be the most complex code of all the projects demonstrated at "Design Day 2011".  Dad was proud of Mike and his team's achievement. Michael and the Ballistic Launcher are pictured at the left.
