December 30, 2014 - SandyWeather.com joins the Weather Underground Network

Weather Underground is simply a large network of personal weather stations. They get a real-time feed of information from the Haslam's Weather station and make all sorts of nice presentations from it.

November 24, 2014 Reed's book Spotlighted at the LDS Church History Library

"The Light Breaks on Southeast Asia - A History of the LDS Church in Asia's Ancient Kingdoms" on display at the LDS Church History Library. Found on the shelf labeled "Best Selections" in the public area on the first floor. The Church History Library is located just east of the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Berg Ancestry = Jorgenson, Sanders. Sondra Sanders' sister Ellen Sanders Kimball was in the very first pioneer company in 1847, one of only 3 women in that company.

Having inherited the "I Love a Parade" gene from my paternal grandfather, I attended the parade with my daughter Angela and her daughter Makenna. Here are some photos:

July 16, 2014 - Michael and Stephanie Haslam are pleased to announce the birth of their first child

She is a girl named Samantha. For Reed & Sherry this is grand-daughter #4, grandchild #6; all within 3 years and 1 month.

July 1, 2015 - Harris Healthcare (Commercial Group) sold to NantHealth

Employees were notified in late June that the Healthcare Group at Harris Corporation had been sold to NantHealth of Culver City California. We were asked not to disclose the change in ownership until July 21, 2015. Harris Corporation kept those working on healthcare projects for government entities.

NantHealth is a Personal Health company (Precision Health Company), majority owned by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a southern California billionaire. His passion is to use genetics to prescribe the best possible treatments for cancer.

Current challenges in the business include: (a) justifying the cost of genetic analysis, (b) communicating the results with physicians (c) growing the database of cancers vs. genetic analysis.
