Michael Arrives in Santa Rosa
June 28, 2006 - We discovered that Michael has been assigned to the Vacaville California Stake by tracing the charge he made for his bicycle today.
June 26, 2006 - After flying to the Oakland airport Michael and his group of twelve missionaries took ground transportation to Santa Rosa. In his first letter from California Michael wrote, "I made it safely to the mission field! All is going well. I am writing from the Mission Home. It is a lovely home and I've visited the mission office which is nice also. I'm excited to find out where I'm going. Again we miss preparation day since it is today (Monday). Two Spanish speaking Elders joined our district of 10 so there was a total of twelve of us on the small Sky West airplane." The bus ride from the airport took two hours thanks to the many stops it made. Two Elders will be assigned to bicycle areas. He added, "Santa Rosa is a beautiful place so far, even the backyard is littered with trees." The assistants are great missionaries and they have great workers. I'm excited to meet my trainer and start working in my first area."
